On March 26th, 2024, Ancilla Primary & JHS embarked on a memorable journey of athleticism
and camaraderie as the entire school devoted an entire day to sports activities. From thrilling
competitions to fun-filled challenges, students and teachers alike showcased their skills and team
spirit in a day filled with excitement and joy.
The Headmistress tasked Mad. Rita with all the male teachers to plan the day’s events. This
decision injected a fresh wave of enthusiasm and energy into the school, setting the stage for an
action-packed day ahead.
The day kicked off with a tag of peace challenge and an epic Kenkey Eating Competition,
where each class nominated their champion eater to vie for glory. As plates emptied and
stomachs filled, cheers echoed across the school grounds, setting the tone for the festivities to
come.
Musical Chairs added a nostalgic flair, as participants danced around chairs in a frenzy to secure
their spot when the music stopped. Laughter and friendly competition filled the air, proving that
sometimes the simplest games bring the most joy.
Continuing the Lyrics Challenge tested participants’ musical knowledge and quick thinking, as
they raced to complete song lyrics in a battle of wits and memory.
In a display of unity and sportsmanship, students and teachers clashed on the football field,
showcasing their skills and teamwork in a spirited match that left spectators on the edge of their
seats.
The Hanging Apple challenge put accuracy and precision to the test as participants aimed to
land their shots with pinpoint accuracy, while the Basketball Competition provided a platform
for budding athletes to shine on the court.
Beyond the field and court, students showcased their creativity and passion through dance
performances. As the sun set on Ancilla Primary & JHS’s Sports Day, the echoes of laughter and
cheers lingered in the air, serving as a reminder of the bonds forged and memories created.
Through teamwork, sportsmanship, and sheer enthusiasm, the school community came together
