On Tuesday, 4th March 2024, Ancilla Primary & Junior High School officially launched its 25th Anniversary Celebration in a memorable and inspiring event. The occasion brought together parents, students, teachers, alumni, and distinguished guests, marking the beginning of a year-long celebration of A Journey of Knowledge, Love, and Service.
Exactly at 2:00 PM, we warmly welcomed our esteemed guests, including members of the Board of Directors and the event’s chairperson, Dr. Mrs. Shirley Banini. The program began with an opening prayer, followed by an introduction of the chairperson by Afua Asamoah. In her acceptance speech, Dr. Banini expressed her excitement and honor in leading such a significant event.
A special highlight of the day was a heartfelt speech from Mrs. Felicity Dapaah, who reflected on her impactful journey with Ancilla School for the past 15 years. She urged all attendees to remain good ambassadors of the school, emphasizing that in the coming years, the current generation of students will grow to become proud alumni and even future grandparents of Ancilla.
One of the major moments of the launch was the unveiling of the 3D design of the anniversary project, which was witnessed by parents, teachers, and students. Following this, a fundraising session was held, successfully raising 5,000 Ghana Cedis in support of the anniversary initiatives.
The event was graced by all students, including the 2024-year group, who came in their numbers to celebrate this historic milestone. To add excitement to the occasion, the audience was treated to a vibrant dance performance, after which Madam Cecilia, the primary school’s English tutor, delivered the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to everyone for their support and participation.
The 25th Anniversary Launch was a resounding success, setting the tone for an exciting year of celebrations ahead!
