In a thrilling showcase of intellect and skill, Ancilla Primary & JHS made an impressive debut at
The Sharks Quiz Competition 2024, rising through the ranks to claim a well-deserved Second
Place position. From the preliminary rounds to the intense finals, Ancilla’s team of bright minds
left a lasting impression, earning accolades and recognition from organizers and competitors
alike.
Amidst stiff competition from 82 schools, our first-time participation in The Sharks Quiz
Competition proved to be a remarkable journey filled with determination and perseverance. With
each stage, the team demonstrated unwavering resolve and a thirst for knowledge, propelling
them towards success.
The team was coached by Sir Godwin Narh Ossom, Sir Desmond Tetteh, Mr. Baako Godson and
Sir Ronxy Narh. The contestants were:
Aboagye Kwabena Bentum, Effah Daniel, Azindow Adam, Torku Eric, Edudzie Chrisaint,
Nakaar Anita, Kotsoo Adwoa, Agbesi Emefa, Sosu Jessica, Addo Jasmine, Danquah Delia
and Darkwa Onyame Nkunimdie.
During the finals, Ancilla’s team showcased their expertise across various subjects, with four
students stepping onto the stage to compete in Social Literacy, Mathematics, STEM, and English
categories. Their eloquence, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities captivated the
audience and judges alike, earning them admiration and applause.
Despite being first-time contenders, Ancilla’s outstanding performance did not go unnoticed. The
organizers of The Sharks Quiz Competition commended Ancilla for their surprise entry and
expressed the difficulty in selecting the overall best students for each category. Remarkably,
three of Ancilla’s contestants (Daniel Effah, Addo Jasmine and Nakaar Anita) emerged as the
overall best students in Mathematics, English, and Social Literacy respectively.
Ancilla Primary & JHS’s impressive feat at The Sharks Quiz Competition is a testament to the
dedication of its students, teachers, and the entire school community. The second position,
accompanied by a cash prize of GHC 5000.00 and souvenirs, serves as a source of pride and
inspiration for all involved.
As the school basks in the glory of her achievement, she remains steadfast in her pursuit of
